Each year, the Museum serves up to: 10,000 school children with our MuseumMobile Program 8,900 exhibit visitors 2,000 program attendees 4,000 website visitors
Collections: More than 3,500 specimens Current Exhibit: All of the exhibits at the Cable Natural History Museum are focused on the environment and natural history of the region.
Admission is FREE and Open to the Public (ADA Accessible).
Museum Hours:
Winter Hours: Thurs. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Summer Hours: Tues. - Sat. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
We are closed for the following holidays: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Museum location: The Museum is located in downtown Cable, WI at 13470 County Highway M.
The Museum strives to ensure the accessibility of its exhibitions, events, and programs to all persons with disabilities.
The town of Cable is located at the junction of Highways 63 and County Hwy. M in northwestern Wisconsin's Bayfield County. It is approximately 40 miles south of Ashland, 17 miles north of Hayward, and 50 miles southeast of Superior.
