Garden Tour
During the short northern summer, flowers, vegetables, shrubs,
and other plants drink up the rain, bask in the sun, and burst
with intense life and color. Northern gardeners are challenged
by the brief growing season, but many manage to cultivate unique
and diverse garden plots.
Make plans to visit some of the best and brightest gardens
in the area during a semi-annual garden tour sponsored by the
Cable Natural History Museum. The self-paced tour features
gardens in the area showcasing native prairie plants, lakeside
terraces and rose gardens along with tranquil water features,
streams, ponds and arbors.
The event is a fundraiser for the Cable Natural History Museum
and has previously been sponsored by Big Brook Farms Greenhouse,
Brickhouse Café & Catering, Northern Native Plantscapes,
and Winter Greenhouse.
Do you have an exceptional garden? Would you like to be a part
of the garden tour for the summer of 2009? If so, contact
