CABLE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM NAMED AMONG BEST OF WISCONSIN
The Cable Natural History Museum
has been singled out for recognition by Wisconsin
Trails in the magazine’s "Best of Wisconsin
2002" list.
The March/April 2002 edition of Wisconsin
Trails magazine lists the most unique, satisfying
and pleasantly surprising places and activities around the
state, from restaurants to brewpubs to lakes to golf courses
to bed-and-breakfasts – a total of 49 categories.
The Cable Natural History Museum was picked
as the "Most
Ambitious Little Museum with a Big Agenda."
"Physically, it’s 2,992 square feet, but the Cable
Natural History Museum views the North Woods as its back yard," the
magazine editors write. "Its jampacked program schedule
reflects this vision: wildflower hikes on the North Country Trail,
canoe trips on the St. Croix, voyageur paddles to Madeline Island,
a summer nature lecture series and more."
The Museum is open year-round and offers indoor and outdoor
programs through the seasons. To learn more visit the Museum
