Museum Awarded Conservation Grant

The Cable Natural History Museum has been awarded a C. D. Besadny grant for $970 from the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin. The funds will be used to develop a northern wildflower phenology page and related links on the Museum’s web site.

The site will include photos of blooming wildflowers and blooming dates. Visitors to the site will be able to access natural history about the wildflowers, including hints for identification, habitat and geographic location and other information.

Sue Benson will direct production of the phenology web site. The Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin provides financial support to projects that contribute to knowledge about Wisconsin’s natural resources through education.
